Cynthia Shanks

Cynthia Shanks is Senior Director of Corporate Affairs for Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) Canada, where she leads the Company’s corporate communications, sustainability efforts, and government affairs. With a strategic vision and extensive expertise, she drives KDP Canada’s initiatives in these key areas, contributing significantly to the Company’s environmental and corporate goals.​

With over 20 years of experience in corporate communications and sustainability, including more than 12 years at KDP Canada, Cynthia has played a pivotal role in embedding sustainability into the Company’s strategy and operations. Her leadership has resulted in major packaging innovations and a notable reduction in the company’s environmental footprint.​

Before joining KDP Canada, Cynthia held senior communications roles at Hydro-Québec and Deloitte. Her early career included positions as Communications Advisor at Stratège Idées Communication and Project Manager at the Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal.​

Cynthia is actively involved in several industry associations. She has served on the boards of the Coffee Association of Canada and the Plastic Division of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada for many years. Currently, she is a board member of Circular Materials, the Canadian Beverage Association, and the Quebec Beverage Container Recycling Association. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Montréal.
