OUR EMPLOYEES COME TOGETHER TO SUPPORT FOOD BANKS CANADA’S AFTER THE BELL PROGRAM
Supporting charities that fight food insecurity is one of the primary ways KDP Canada shows up for the communities where we work and live. Food Banks Canada (FBC) is a longstanding partner in that commitment.
For many families, the end of the school year also means the loss of a reliable source of nutritious meals for their children. FBC’s After the Bell program helps bridge that gap by providing food packs to children and families during the summer months, ensuring support continues long after the final school bell rings.
On May 26, 15 of our employees, joined by Ryan Bahadurour President, who also supports Food Banks Canada as Vice-President of their Board of directors , took part in this important initiative. Together, they stepped away from their day-to-day responsibilities to pack 1,680 kits, contributing to the 90,720 assembled during the event.
“What makes these kinds of initiatives especially meaningful is the way they bring our people together around a shared purpose,” said Ryan Bahadur. “At KDP Canada, employee engagement and community involvement are part of who we are. Moments like this show the impact that can happen when those values come to life.”
As one of the country’s largest summer hunger-relief initiatives, Food Banks Canada’s After the Bell program continues to play an important role in helping communities support families during a critical time of year.
